First 2020 Shelby GT500 Sold For $1.1M at Barrett-Jackson

As is the tradition now, Ford just auctioned off the very first model of the 2020 Shelby GT500 Mustang at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction, with all proceeds going to benefit JDRF for diabetes research.

With the production vehicle scheduled to be available this fall, this first 2020 GT500 brought in a whopping $1.1-million dollar winning bid!

“The chance to become the owner of the first 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 cars is an opportunity of a lifetime,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford president, global operations. “More importantly, being involved in helping to raise much needed funds and awareness for JDRF is a big win for everyone.”
