Ford introduced the new 2016 Cobra Jet at the 2015 SEMA show this past November and just a few months later, the first deliveries of the turnkey drag racer have begun.
One of the new Ford Cobra Jet Mustangs delivered was to veteran drag racer Pete Ricart who is now owner of number 16 of the limited 50 vehicle production run for 2016.
Equipped with a 2.9L Whipple Supercharger, the 2016 Cobra Jet capable of 8-second quarter miles straight from the factory will help Ricart and crew to battle it out in the NHRA Division 3 and NMCA Cobra Jet Showdown races planned for the vehicle.
