On August 12, 2014, Ford Motor Company was awarded its official design patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the exterior design of the 2015 Mustang, good for a term period of 14 years.
The patent was filed on October 16, 2013 and its listed inventors are familiar names to all Mustang fans, including J. Mays, Moray Callum, Joel Piaskowski, Darrel Behmer, Kemal Curic, Garen Nicoghosian, Mark Kaski and Ehab Kaoud.
