According to information gained from discussions with Ford’s Global Communications Manager, Alan Hall, the 2.3L EcoBoost will simply be an optional engine for the base model 2015 Mustang and will not carry a special package name or trimline. This is consistent with the Ford body codes chart that suggested the 4 cylinder engine would simply be an option code for the base model, which we previously reported here.
Some of our members, and Mustang fans in general, have been guessing that Ford might revive the SVO name with the return of the 4 cylinder turbo engine.
