Do you think putting 17" Wheels on a GT would improve its turning circle?

According to specs, the S550 V6 with standard 17" wheels turns in 36.5 feet while the GT with standard 18" wheels needs 1.3 more feet to do the same:

36.5 feet/11.1 meters (17-in. wheels), 37.8 feet/11.5 meters (18-in. and 19-in. wheels), 40.0 feet/12.2 meters (Performance Package and 20-in. wheels)

The larger wheels require limiters to the steering rack. Simply installing smaller wheels would not change the turning radius.

Thank you very much for the answer!

Of course, you could pull the steering limiters if you installed the narrower wheels (the 17s are the same diameter but are an inch narrower, and that must be the "rub") but that seems like a pretty narrow-minded approach to the situation.

I'm not sure it would be so easy. The limiters might be integrated with the rack and pinion gears.

Might be. Never have been in the past.
