Going to be a lot of 2018 Mustangs released on 1st of July
Jeez, I’m happy for you Aussie guys to get your cars, but there are enough '18s in NZ already ;)

1st July.

Had a chat to my dealer today and although the Tarago docked in Brissy
2 weeks ago (with my car on it) I can’t have it until the 1st July. I was hoping they wouldn’t embargo it being an (albeit big) update but they have.

Hurry up and wait.

Hey guys at this moment, all cars are to be released the first week of July unless ford says otherwise. Once cars land, dealers will have access to them so they can PD them and get them ready for rego on the allocated date you have been given. Definitely not going to happen before Monday 2nd July as I predict.

Saw a black MY18 in Auckland this morning with silver wheels. I hate to admit it, but it actually looked quite good...

Hi Ciaran. Was that the forged wheels or was it an EB.

Great news Peter.
Fedora with my car just left Auckland - due Brisbane 15/6 but like all the rest not available until July.
Still got my loan car though - worth heaps

Hi Ciaran. Was that the forged wheels or was it an EB.
Lots of the early NZ GTs came with silver wheels. My wife's came on them (by mistake) and the dealer had to change them for black (which caused a delay of a day so we got the black 5.0 badges for free). The dealer got a Kona blue GT demo with silver and the other local Ford dealer has an orange GT demo that has silver wheels too. It’s personal preference of course, but for my money Orange Fury needs black wheels and accents rather than silver or chrome (and the orange roof is too much as well) and we were a little worried because we saw the other dealer's car a few days before we took delivery and didn’t really like it.

If I understand correctly the first batch of cars that arrived in NZ in early April were dealer demos plus some stock preordered by Ford, and they put extra cost optional silver wheels on lots of them - that's what happened with ours anyway and we were just lucky there was an orange GT convertible in the preorder and that it had magneride, so only the wheels being incorrect was not what we ordered.
