Who would buy a basic $50,000 Gt ?

Hi,
I priced out a 2014 Gt with automatic,backup camera,401 a package. It comes in at just under 49 grand with taxes. There are incentives now but there will not be any for the new 2015's. They have priced me out of a mustang:(

Best bet is to find a nice low mileage '13-'14 if that's what you want, they are CHEAP right now.

Many things wrong with what you said. 1) you never include taxes in price discussion as they vary and we do apples to apples comparison. 2) The 14s have massive rebates. 3) The price you should be getting should be a lot closer to invoice or x plan at this stage. 4) You dont need all the options you are dumping on the GT Premium. Trust me. Pick and choose properly.

1. A 401A is not "Basic".
2. 2014's have ridiculous incentives and rebates right now. People are saying that they're grabbing 2014's new with most, if not all options, for ~32k to 33k.

I've tried my hardest to price out the most expensive '14 GT and managed to get it up to a hair under $45k. This is before incentives.

Did a completely loaded 2015 GT and it came out to a hair over $45k. This is before x-plan.

Edit: Canadian dollars... facepalm.

In Canada we get ripped off at the dealers, you can not get a basic mustang they only come with the premium package and up,so it is alot more money. And yes you have to include taxes, that is the the drive away price.
Throw in insurance and it way over 50 grand, pricing alot of people out of a new mustang.

Most stealerships in Texas and Cali will sell you a 401a 2014 for 30-32k..

Order one as a custom retail order, base model, use X-plan, and you'll save some money.

I get what you're saying but you aren't going to get a lot of sympathy here from people who have already committed to buying one of these months ago. Even before pricing was confirmed..

1Cobra here is a DORA from the car I ordered in Saskatchewan. Its not a 401A but even with 5% PST and 5% GST here in Saskatchewan you would come in under 50k probably closer to 46k-47k from a dealer that will sell below MSRP. I think mine will be approx. 47k after tax.

My total price that I'm paying on my car, after taxes and fees, is $46,075.50 US. Converted to Canadian dollars at the present exchange rate, that's $49,528.63. You've got to pay to play. If you want a cheaper Mustang, they sell them with excellent 4 and 6 cylinder engines.

Also, I absolutely do not see the point of getting backup sensors when the car already comes with a backup camera. Like, can anybody explain that logic to me?

The back up sensors provide side detection as well as depth to the object
