Whipple 5th gen stage 1,whipple or Herrod tune better?

Hi members,I am considering fitting a whipple and am seeking advice please about best tune for smooth driveability for my manual 21.5 GT.Good manners are more important to me than ultimate power. Thank you for any advice

Hey there, from just my experience with the Whipple tune. I fitted a gen 5 Whipple on my manual 15 GT recently. I currently am running the provided Whipple tune and am about 4k miles on the build. As a daily, it has been pretty smooth and runs like stock. So no complaints from me as of yet. I will say give the car a few days/weeks for it to re-learn idle. Once that phase was over it became much smoother to drive. During the first few days after install, the car would idle pretty high, especially cold starts, and the throttle was VERY touchy. But it settled down after a few drive cycles. I think even Whipple mentioned something about idle or crank re-learn so. So I have good manners AND ultimate power at my disposal using the Whipple tune haha.
