wheel size on s550 GT

Appreciate any feedback on the wheel sizes you can use on the rear of your 550GT mustang. I have been told any mustang wheel from 2001 and up will bolt up to the rear of these cars. I run AMR wheels 19" but would like to use there same wheel in 18" size but they claim it won't fit the rear. You pay to upgrade the ratio of the rear and than use larger height tires and lose some of the ratio.
I run an 2016GT auto with 3:55 rear a PP2 kit which raised the RPM and do use the track to check out my up grades. The only true HP test.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You really need to be clearer.

An when you say "track", do you really mean "drag strip"?

I've seen people run 17s in the rear no problem.

Thank you on the 17'S. Thats what i'v been told and don't why american muscle claims there 18" won' fit.

not all spoke designs are the same in cross-section; sometimes they will interfere with the caliper even if it is a larger diameter wheel.
