Water-Meth Injection: 50/50 mix vs 100% Methanol

Is there a performance reason not to run 100% Methanol vs 50/50 mix?

Methanol is cheap at $5 a gallon, so I'm not worried about cost.

Performance wise 100% would be better but methanol has a very low flash point. Mixing to 50/50 raises it quite a bit.

You should look into Dyno test results of whether 100% methanol offers significant advantage over the 50/50 mix. The difference in power may be very negligible and the advantage outweighs the disadvantage, less flammable and safer to transport.

full meth, i used 50 50 when i had the stock pistons , once i went to forged pistons i went 100 percent m1 methanol .

Only go with 100 if you're running into octane limitations. 50/50 is safer and has better cooling capacity.

Methanol flames are invisible in broad daylight. Race car drivers have been caught up in methanol fires and nobody even could tell they needed help until they started screaming and rolling around. I'm not gonna fuck with that.
