Today I noticed the hood liner around the hood vents stained white from rain water from yesterday, and the liner all damp around the vents. This doesn't seem like a good plan for long term moisture damage. Too bad the area around the vents isn't plastic. Car is 2016

You can remove it, there is a mustang imprinted into the bottom side of the hood.

Yeah I know but for $40k plus we shouldn't have to go that route. They know water is pouring into that area yet they design it that way.

OkOnce it dries, maybe just spray the affected areas with bedliner or undercoating to prevent further damage. And I'm talking about spraying the liner, not the metal.
