Use Dupli-color spray wrap instead of paint?

Anyone tried using Dupli-color spray wrap instead of paint for items such as side scoops, hood scoops, etc?
Comes in many colors, glossy, and less than bringing your unpainted item to a paint shop.

Is the color really going to match your OEM color though? That's the problem.

I don't see it in any factory paint colors. If you're just wanting something contrasting maybe.

I've never used it but is this basically the same as PlastiDip?

I agree, in fact I can tell it does not exactly match.
Yep, kind of the same as plastidip but a spray on vinyl wrap they claim.
Not sure how to match the color, except to buy spray paint from Ford with a "PQ" Race Red color code?
Want to avoid a body shop charging me $300 to paint and prime.
Any ideas?

The dupicolor spray sucks! I got the gloss black to do my mirror caps and even after 6 coats they were "spiderwebbing". I'll stick with PD, easier to spray and peel.

It is hard enough to get a good match from a body shop much less with a DIY anything. Ask around locally about experiences with the body shops. Spend money and cross your fingers.
