Hey Chaps,

For all of you thinking of buying replacement rear badges (emblems if you ar american).

Here's a comparison of the badge securing points for US deck lid and the UK deck lid from my GT.

As you can see the UK deck lid panel has 2 extra securing holes. 1 at the top and 1 at the bottom(under foam pad) for the 50th anniversary style faux 'gas' lid.

not that interesting a post and some may think its obvious, but this is for all you visual learners out there that have to see it before you believe it (like me).

I fitted the US ecoboost panel and am still toying with my matt black ponies or not...

so there you go...

Nice blockout of your reg  ! I like your choice, more than the choice of the GT, or stock one, works with the white lights!

Thanks for the post Dan, it's nice to see it on a UK Magnetic actually, I have been contemplating this mod for a while and it does look great along with the clear lights. (says the guy who just changed his to red lol)

Thanks, that actually helps a lot
I've been toying with a black US-style GT for a while; like about a year. Got a blank panel and GT emblem (with locating pins). Dremelled off the pins and stuck on the emblem. Within a day or two it started lifting due to the curvature of the panel and now its off. Never did get the panel on the car.
However now the other half likes the faux gas cap and its grown on me so not sure it'll be changed at all.

I couldn't find a pic showing the position of the locating holes so thought it'd be useful.

I must be one of the few that was genuinely happy when I found out that the rear lights where clear, I love them... unlike the orange side reflectors... they will be either darkened or clear... can't decide... :p.

Darkened ;) and yes, can totally understand why one would prefer the white over the red lights, especially on a magnetic car...

But for me, just had to have that American look :usa:

I was the same, I loved them when I first saw them.

Had my car 6 months now and slowly I have fallen out of love with them and now considering black or red tints!

That a huge difference in price has anyone used them before whats fitment like etc ?
I have used them. Was approx ÂŁ160 to my door. Perfectly packaged and arrived in under a week.
Think I had to contact them as they didn't offer shipping to the UK on the website but he will send you an invoice.
