Actually 98, always did, even when it was still stock. I always wonder wy 87 is considered high in the US.

Octane is measured differently in the US. Your 98 RON is the same as the US 93 motor octane.

It is all a big lie from Ford. Most even make only 260-270 HP and that is engine, not wheels!

Most all the dyno graphs I have seen for the 2.3 Ecoboost have the car producing 260 to 270 HP at the wheels which is in line with the 310 crank HP the factory rates the engine.

No you are talking about wheel horsepower. If you didn't pull the engine and run it on an engine dyno, then it was a chassis dyno, which only measures horsepower at the wheels. Which is why the shop is so stunned by your numbers, and frankly I am to for an untuned car. I also have a hell of a time believing the 362rwhp as that would be a record for normal pump gas (non e30/e85).

Gonna chime in here for a sec (Belgian as well).

Here's a dyno graph I printscreened from the tuner's website [MENTION=21440]micablue[/MENTION] went to. It's small, but the sides say 'motor vermogen' in PK and 'torque' in NM. PK is Dutch and about the same as HP (400HP is f.e. 405PK). 'Vermogen' is Dutch for Power. The rest should be quite clear

So as the graph suggests, Jurgen is absolutely right when he says they told him it's engine power. So obviously they just measure the power at the wheels just like you'd do in the US, but translate it into what the customer wants to hear, being PK.

So no worries, no whp record's been broken over here just yet (I doubt any local tuner here will do better than the US tuners specialising in the Ecoboost for that matter)

About the only 260-270pk they told you most Ecoboosts would be making: I'm not throwing with dirt, but they probably just made a mistake. There's another forum member (Belgian as well) that had his car tuned over there and he made just under 300pk before the tune. Also the example graph on their own website shows the stock PK just being under 300. And you had before the tune just under 300PK as well (as you said earlier). So like I said, not throwing with dirt here, but they see all models from all brands, I can imagine an easy mistake like that could have been made.

Edit: another option is the 260-270PK they told you about, were running on 95 (Euro 95). Which is shit and my but dyno says it makes a huge difference

Yeah, that's it. They measure the power at the wheels and the computer makes a calculation to get an engine power result. Failed to mention that.:doh:

I do not think they made any mistake, regarding the low horsepower. BR has an ecoboost in for a tune almost every day (Mustang is very popular in Belgium). Apparently there is a difference in what these cars make. There is a lot of complaining about this on the FB page of the Belgian Mustang and Cougar Club. Guess I belong to the lucky ones that have power on the higher end.

BR made some changes to their website, I see. You can also see a pic of my car on their page below, made during dyno (magnetic). The example dyno they had on before was not that good. You can see the result of the other cars on the photo's (stage 2).

So are you saying the 295 was the measure engine horsepower stock and now after the tune it makes 362 at the engine?

At best converting wheel HP to crank HP is just an estimate.
