quick question for you guys - im going to be running some 20x9 / 20x10.5 staggered wheels.

i definitely know that i want to run 255s up front. my tire folks only have 255/35/20, 275/35/20, 255/30/20, and 285/30/20 available.

I live in a city with a lot of potholes. Should I be safe in going with 275/35 in the rear with the larger aspect ratio or will i be okay with the 285/30?

Also, for the front do you guys think i should run the 255/30 or 255/35?

thanks in advance! :headbang:

35 series in front for sure. If you want tire heights to match front and rear the 285/30 will be closer to the height of the front 255/35 but for overall sidewall I would go with a 275/35.

275 in front, why not 305 or 315 for rear?

I'm about to throw in some bags, so don't wanna go too wide up front. also the sizes i listed are the only ones my tire sponsor has available. the only 305s theyve got are 305/25 and i can't do that in DC, lol. so my only real options for the rear are 285/30 or 275/35.

a 285/30/20 will be shorter than the front tire, as said, go with the 305/30/20, the heights will be nearly dead on front to back. use a tire size calculator, it will take the guessing game out of choosing tire sizes. I personally use this one, use the compare tab

305/30 isn't an option unfortunately. just 285/30, 275/35, and 305/25

Only by 0.25" which isn't enough to even notice. 255/30 fronts would be really short sidewall and he has only a couple sizes to pick from. I would do 275 35 on the rear if it was my car and I had only those sizes to choose from.

For a bag setup ( depending on the system your going and how your going to lay it down)

I recommend the following

255/35/20 & 285/30/20

or

255/35/20 & 275/35/20

Thanks Paul! Any preference at all between the 285/30 and the 275/35 here?

the 285 fill the 10.5 better then the 275, but I like the profile of the 275 and since your airing out that's good.
