No single not pushing enough hp for a twin. I don’t think I will get there with the 🐐.
Good stuff. Spec has been around forever.

They have, and they build really good clutches. I’ve rarely ran across anyone who’s had one and doesn’t like the performance they get out of them. Even these puc clutches after break in feel like stock clutches. I will definitely go with a dual when it comes time for the 5.0 to get one.

I had a sweet ‘05, black on black M6, full bolt-ons (intake, headers, exhaust), mild cam, JHP short throw, LS7 clutch, 3.91’s, pedders street 2. I bought it new in Nov. ‘05. Always garaged and was in immaculate condition. Had a guy offer me $24K for it in 2017. Car still only had 41K miles. Like a dumbass, I sold it. Thought I was getting too old to need a fun car anymore. That feeling lasted about 3 months when I ordered my ‘18 PP2. Two different cars really. Only problem with the GTO was having to stuff a 275 in the rear. Traction was always an issue, but that car handled like a dream. Had it to 165 one time which was redline in 5th. Thought it had 180 in it, but my balls were only good for 165. Love my Mustang, but I really miss the Goat.

Beautiful car….
Mines an LS1 FAST92/92 1 7/8 headers Sikky short throw. Gearbox stage 2 T56 stock 3.42s because no one has the rear cradle alignment tool so I’m afraid of going with shorter rear gears. 91 Oct tune 351/364 before the FAST. BC racing front coil overs, Koni sports shocks in the rear 17/18 TSW Nogaros which I had powder coated semi gloss 255/275 also. Great driving car it’s just planted. Sorry to hear you got rid of yours. I got mine 2 yrs ago from a guy who I don’t think knew what he had. Got it dirt cheap. It needed a lot of TLC though. These cars are getting harder and harder to find in good condition and parts for them also are getting scarce.
Why I’ve held back in doing anything else to the car. I was thinking of doing heads/cam but I’m thinking hard and I keep talking myself out of it. It’s going to end up going to my oldest kid. Another reason I haven’t done any engine mods either. Don’t want it wrapped around a tree. Cause I’ll be upset.

Heads/cam would really wake it up. The stock 243 heads on the LS2 were pretty good. I think the cam I was running was 224/224, 600/600, 114. It wasn’t a real aggressive cam, but gave it a nice lope and picked up on the top end pretty good. 91 tune was good for 425/410. I’ve actually tried to track the car down, but with no luck. I’m in KC and sold it to a guy in St. Louis. I kick myself all the time for selling it.

That was a great cam. I don’t think they make it anymore. It had great drivability, great street manners. Really good power all through the power band. I was looking on YouTube and I came across a clip from the old T-Rex cam, that thing was vicious. The lope alone you can probably feel it in your chest lol. I had an Ed Curtis nitrous cam in my C5. That thing pulled all the way to 7200 rpm’s never falling off. I had the original 243 ZO6 heads with the hollow and sodium filled valves. Very stable and light valve train.

There’s a place allied motors that ports and polishes 243s and throws on .650 lift springs with ti retainers bronze valve guides and over sized valves 2.02/1.59. $1400 for a set. Advanced induction has a 223 intake runner program that makes the 243s flow like TF GenX 225 heads for half the price of TF heads but no one answers the phone there anymore. Believe me I look all the time. Seriously a good set of heads and a nice lopy cam is all a man needs for happiness 😂

Terry is a good dude and takes care of his customers. I got a set of FIC 1000 at a very very good price directly from him. 👊
