Stunning work; well done!Couple pics from my GoPro
A lot of reviews/articles say the Nikon d3000 series dslr's are great starter bang for the buck cameras. I was going to get the d3400 but they did away the accessory port for remote shutter and it lacked a time lapse features I wanted for Astro photography so I stepped up to the d5600.could someone tell me a good starter camera but not too inferior and lens?
would love to start a new hobby!

think ill go with the d5500 and the sigma once i sell my old wheels!Pick the camera body that fits your budget. Most of the improvements that go into a camera body are for speed like high frame rates and fast autofocus. Image quality comes mostly from the lens so start with a prime like a 35mm f1.8 if you are going to start out with basic photography. The 35mm focus length is great for car photography, family photos, street photography, and many more.
I'm partial to Nikon so you can start with the D3xxx or D5xxx for not a whole lot of money and grab the 35mm for about $200 on top of the camera body. If you wanted to splurge a tad you could grab the Sigma 35mm 1.4 or the Sigma 18-35mm 1.8(both about $800) and you'd be set for a while as those are amazing lenses even by pro standards.
