As this new ZL1 is no joke! But, despite the alpha platform, it's a heavy beast with the 10-speed auto and eLSD at 3950 lbs. There are strong rumors of 180+ mph trap speeds and sub-7:30 laps at the Gring so this 500 will really have to step it up.
Oh, and heatsoak will need to be substantially reduced to minimum or eliminated altogether.
So, there's good potential for a 10-speed auto given the 2018 GT350 rumored autobox and if the powerplant doesn't weigh crazy-much there's a good possibility that a forced engine in a 350R, with some trick additions, packaged as an 18 GT500 should decimate even the mighty ZL1.
