Spare Tire?

Curious if anyone opted to buy the spare tire kit? Thought about using my 42000 FordPass points- -

My car was supplied with goo. I had the dealership add the factory donut spare kit. The goo isn’t much good if you peel the rubber off 50 miles from nowhere.

Do you have the Brembo brakes?
If not then pick up a factory spare tire kit.

If so get the appropriate Automotive Authority kit using the drop down. There are some other brands that use a huge spacer to clear the Brembos. The AA kit does not.

The 2022 GT Premium I bought in early Jan did not come with the mini spare. I got 2 flat tires in the first 3 weeks I had it. After the first flat I ordered the mini spare tire kit which was delivered after the 2nd flat. Those were the first flat tire issues I have had in 6-7 years. My 2023 convertible came with mini spare tire. Probably won't get any flat tires now.

Same here. Don't really trust the "kit" in an emergency. Got a good deal on the OEM spare tire and accessories. Still keep the "kit" in the car as a secondary backup if needed.

This is silly as hell, but that's a really good looking wheel. Like, I'd like a set of 4, in the proper sizes for a PP car.

IMO, that's what the stock PP1 wheels should be. Not the crap Ford puts on them that takes 14 hours and 36 ibuprofen to get clean.

Just ordered one from AA for my Mach 1 today.

FYI: the directions gave you remove a section of the felt pad on the back side of the tire cover panel to lay under the tire to prevent movement and squeeks. . I didn't want to cut my panel. So I ordered a piece of 1/8" felt & rubber pad which I will put on the underside are and rtv to my car. Good luck

I know what you mean about those kind of wheels. I got the mustang convertible with the blackout package and the wheel so I got are five spoke black-really easy to clean.
