Picking up the second prototype from them on Wednesday.

I'll post weights and pictures weds night.

Waited for them to offer one as I've worked with them for many years for all my custom driveshafts. Never a issue and they are local too me.

Great !

I know the automatic version is available but I am waiting for the shaftmaster manual version. Looking foward for the weight and fitment as it seem like a tight fit in the tunnel.

I think you have the Gibson exhaust like me. Will see if it clear that well too. David at shaftmaster told me it may be or may be not a issue with 3 inch aftermarket exhaust being two close and generate two much heat for the aluminum driveshaft.

I am very close to pulling the trigger on a DSS driveshaft. Post an install and review and let us know how far they are out on making these.

Remove old, replace with new. Not much science to it really.

If you don't have a lift,
Buy a jack and jack stands
Jack car up
Place jack stands
Lower car on to jack stands.

This is too painful for me to continue

Remove cat back

Unbolt factor driveshaft

Run supplied tap through the diff flange bolt holes

Bolt adapter to trans flange

Bolt in drive shaft

Replace axle back

I checked runout on the flange adapter but that's just me. Not needed imo for anyone that doesn't have dial indicators and a mag base already

Lose 20-25lbs of useless rotational weight.

Gain basically nothing on the Dyno
Accelerate faster at the track. Good for lower 60's and et's

availability.... Have to call and ask them. They gave me and kelly from bmr prototypes to test. All of our feedback to them is 100% perfect do I have to believe they will make you one up asap. They build them as ordered, they might knock out a couple ahead of time to just have on hand. But it only takes them a day to build one. Then ship

Based on the prices I've seen on the other driveshafts out there, the Shaftmasters will be a HELL of a deal!

Slid around the subdivision today. Zero vibration. If there was any extra nvh, over the mgw, which was none in my opinion, it was minimal to zero. Roads are kinda crappy here, but my plan is to hit the Dyno again this week and run it up to 150mph and see if it vibrates up there!

Got out on i75 today. Made a couple full throttle runs in 3rd/4th gear up to 95. No noticed noise or vibration.

Did the same 3/4 gear runs at part throttle. Same results

Thumbs up on this one!

Great news!

How is the clearance with the arh headers/ gibson catback? I am worry about possible heat issue with aluminum too close to the exhaust

The driveshaft is well far enough away from the main heat sources like the headers. I've had my aluminum driveshaft for over two years on my '11 and even the company logo sticker is still intact. The kind of aluminum in the driveshaft is very durable.
