Exactly what I'm worried about happening. Although, i read on another forum that a guy put a clear bra type of overlay on top of the gloss black vinyl to prevent scratching and other kids of damage from the elements...and he didn't have any problems.

My 2006 Charger Daytona had the factory satin black decal package and it was a pain the ass to take care of. I went with gloss black on the GT and it was much easier. Like was said earlier, you can wax it to help protect it. When I did get fine scratches in the stripes I just used Scratch Dr. to remove them then liquid wax after. Stripes held up just fine.

Thanks man...good to know. i didn't realize that the gloss vinyl could be waxed

Had anyone done carbon fiber gloss roof wrap? I'm thinking about doing that for my car!
