I run the 315's squared on my R. If I was running stock gt350 wheels I'd probably go with the 295's square. Hit up trackdaytire.com and tell them Steve from Serpent Stangs sent you.:cheers:Looking to get R7 s and assuming 295 front / 315 rear is the best combo?
Curious why you say a square setup? Both the R and 350 come with staggered setups....I run the 315's squared on my R. If I was running stock gt350 wheels I'd probably go with the 295's square. Hit up trackdaytire.com and tell them Steve from Serpent Stangs sent you.
Factory staggered setups always have some amount of understeer but the setup makes them more street friendly. A 315 setup on the street isn't much fun as it will tramline making for poor street manners. Any track rat will tell you the proper setup is square. I run 315 squared as well on 19x11 Forgelines with R offset.Curious why you say a square setup? Both the R and 350 come with staggered setups....
This is highly debatable. Square has advantages and some disadvantages (as is true for any technical compromise). Depends on how much you street vs track and your driving style. I run staggered on all my track cars. My preference. YMMV....... Any track rat will tell you the proper setup is square.......
There's zero point to splitting hairs that thin. Pick the tire that will win races, not drive your sanity into bench racing mode. The Goodyear Eagles (from ZL1) look interesting and they are cheaper, but 3 pounds per corner heavier.
