So, I got run off the road and I clipped a mailbox. The only damage is to the hood of my car. There's a scratch in the clear coat but it's not all the way through...but there is a tiny dent at the point of impact.
I went to Ford and they said that because my hood was aluminum that it would have to be replaced and couldn't be repaired and it would cost $1,600.
Here's a picture. Any advice? I find it hard to believe that it can't be fixed.
