Anybody use Renegade Pro E85? Wondering about tune requirements if you use it say as opposed to VP X85.

X85 has .5 more octane rating. 101.1 vs 101.6
X85 is 9.81 stoich vs Pro at 9.91

Should run the same.

Pump E75 for $3.99/gal does the same exact thing as $20/gallon pail E85. Tested and myth busted.

Unfortunately there are few, and I mean damn few, gas stations in Wyoming that sell E75, 85, or any fractional amount of ethanol; none in the western part of the state.

Here in Michigan we have E85 it’s always tested at E85 or higher. A friend of mine still buys the barrels of race E85 for like $9 a gallon. He said it’s safer and will give him a HP and safety increase. I told him he’s just wasting his money isn’t he ? He has a Mustang whippled. He said you never know what’s in the 15% 🤦‍♂️ Does performance increase? e85 vs e75 or whatever level it tests at ?

Nope. You’ll get full spark advance and the same knock protection at 70% as 85%. Combustion cooling will still be 98% effective as well. The other 15% is gasoline. Period. Doesn’t matter if it’s 87 or 93 octane at that point.

Most pump E85 or flex uses 85 to 87 octane gas. The stuff you buy in a pail uses 100 octane race gas. Can you tell a difference? I'd say no unless you are on the ragged edge but then you should be using straight alcohol or 114 race gas.
