I've searched quite a bit and can only find this Metra connector that goes directly into the back of the head unit in the dash. Does anyone know if a T-Type connector exists that plugs into the rear speakers so that the line out signals can route to an Amp?

Here's the one that goes into the head unit. http://www.metraonline.com/part/LOC-FDH2

I suppose I can just use a T-Tap for the individual wires at the rear speakers?

You do not want to tap the rear speakers for an amp - they are not full range. I understand it’s the most convenient, but there is a bass roll off that is built in to the factory amp that cannot be defeated. I believe the front woofer is the only full range signal, post amp.

I disabled the factory eq with Forescan. This should be good enough, correct?

To elaborate, someone on here checked it out and even after the forscan change, the rear speakers are high passed.
Do you have a link? Because I used forscan and there is a noticeable increase in bass from the rear speakers.

I have the 6 speaker so that link explains why forscan worked for me.

Thanks

You can use the rear speaker signals as long as you run them to a line out converter.

Thanks for posting the link and info regarding the rear speakers as inputs.

Am I correct in thinking there are two options? Use the Line out converter you linked to or grab my signals at the back of the head unit using something like this?

I did this on my 2017 car. It is way easier to tap the speaker wires in the rear deck lid. Then you can install the line out converter in the trunk, and share the power that you have run to the amplifier. I mounted my line out converter onto the back of my sub box (this had a built in amp) so that the RCA connects to the amp and the power wires can be very short. This way you only have to run a single power line from the battery/fuse block back to the trunk.

I’ve never used the thing you linked, but I’m sure it is fine
