Rear lca removal

Working on installing BMR BK055 bearings. Is there a trick to removing the front inner bolt (24mm) loose? My impact wrench won’t even budge it.

Breaker bar with an extension. Exhaust needs to move.

I had to use a 1/2 ratchet with shallow socket, and a huge breaker bar. Its tough because of that angle that bolt is at, assuming youre talking about the bolt that goes into the LCA bushing that is being replaced. The only thing i found to work was to come out straight through the wheel well with the ratchet. Theres only really enough room to turn the ratchet one click at a time before hitting the wheel well or the control arm, so it will be tough.

That bolt is the worst. My me hanic had a 24mm shallow swivel socket, and we got at it that way with an impact driver.

I disconnect the toe link and just let it hang from the inner bolt and then get to the LCA bolt with an open/closed wrench. Worked for me on 5 installs.

Thanks everyone for the info. It was very helpful. Got it done by dropping the cradle one side at a time to get the springs out. I then removed the bolt from the wheel well as suggested.

Get a real / better impact gun. Milwaukee makes one with 1400ft/lbs of reverse torque and 1000 ft/lbs of fastening torque. This thing will make 99% of air impacts cry, they aren't even in the same league. You'd need a 10 foot breaker bar to match the power this thing has.

The model is the Milwaukee 2767-20

That bolt / nut will come out like it was a eyeglass screw.
