there was a recent post about which rear pads you need for a PP gt.
the answer was FR3Z2200G. i think this is only partially correct. it depends on if you have a manual or automatic transmission.

Manual trans PP uses brf 1566/ FR3Z2200G. this is a Peformance Friction Corporation pad with an EF friction code

Auto trans PP GT uses part number BRF 1864/FR3Z-2200-J. this is made by ITT corp (makes koni shocks). it is made in Italy. it has an FG friction code.

Standard GT uses part number BR 1793. it is an FF friction code
brf1793.png

from highest to lowest friction is 1864>1793>1566

strangely, the manual PP GT uses the lowest friction. lower than a standard GT

just an FYI for anyone looking for new rear factory pads

I'm using Power Stop Z26 all around for the past year. Outstanding, no dust and not expensive.

Z23s here. Same compound as the Z26 with different backing plates. I love them, and they give much better modulation and feel for the PP brakes.

z23 is a GG friction code. higher than factory ferodo. website says stable to 1200 degrees but i think that’s make believe. likely to get fried on track. great street pad though.

Powerstop has "Track Day" pads for our cars but I have no experience with them.

My thread that brought me here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...nd-rotors-for-2018-gt-need-help.173791/page-2

Thanks,

I used the following items for the brake change:

Front rotors: BRRF448
Rear rotors: BRRF336
Front brake pads: BRF1955
Rear brake pads: BRF1864

Everything worked out great. I will post pictures of the used rotors because the front left rotors have these deep gouges like there was something between the pads and rotors that ate away at the rotor.
