You can't remove it easily, it's held in with these melted plastic bolt things - no idea what they are called. Really though take some tape and tape off the area an inch or so away and just spray the emblem, when your done remove the over spray by rubbing it with a micro fiber towel

You have to break the tabs on the back of the pony to remove that one. You remove the radiator shroud and reach your hand down in there to get to it. You'd have to put it back on with 3M double sided tape. If you don't want to do that you can just slide a piece of cardboard down in front of the AC condenser instead.

When doing wheels, how far into the barrel do you do? I'm thinking that having the original color show when looking at the car at certain angles in daylight would be weird.

So I plasti-dipped mine over the weekend and it came out looking great, really great with the original plasti-dip black. Only thing was when I removed the tape I didn't think to cut the line with a razor :headbonk: because it pulled and frayed the edge of the paint so I got pissed and took it all off lol lesson learned.
Just pull the tape immediately after the last coat while its still wet, perfect line every time. I would not even consider a razor blade, 1)risking paint damage 2) its too rubbery to get a clean cut anyways

I wouldn't spray into the barrel at all unless you take the wheels off to dip.

Thanks. I like it all being black and I'm not about to drop $300-400 for an aftermarket piece.

Did you spray the reverse light and just peel it off? I want to do this to mine!

I masked it off and then peeled the tape right after I sprayed the last coat

Rear panel, lower rear bumper. Much happier.
Howdy. I saw the picture of your rear valance pasti dipped and I have never done this before however and very interested in doing the same ( I have a competition orange and think that will look very bad a$$ like that. Can you elaborate a bit in how you did and what you used/recommend ? Thanks for your time.

I love the look of the rear valance. Is that dipplast ? And did you do it yourself? if you did, how much did you spent and how long it took ? Thanks for the info.

Thanks! Yeah the dip has held up surprisingly well in the Ohio winter. It took a few hours to prep everything and give the valance time between coats. I was sure to pull the tape while the last coat was still wet in order to get a straight edge. :clap2:

Been trying some different dips on the wheels to get a good idea of what I'll want to upgrade too. Have the burnt copper on them now.
