I used to be a car mechanic in the 80s, trust me, I changed 100s of oils, I just don't like doing it. I have it done at my Ford dealer in Fort Lauderdale.

I used to do all my oil changes & brake jobs but this old man doesn’t get around like I used to so I’m guilty of using my Ford points at the dealer.
No worries, sometimes it's more convenient to use dealership services, especially as we get older and can't do it all ourselves. It's important to prioritize your safety and well-being.

now I did get these from "raceramps.com" (14" W FLATSTOPPERS CAR STORAGE RAMPS - 4 PACK)

these are bad ass! stops the flat spots on your tires if you let your car sit too long (which I do over the winter)

This old man can no longer crawl under a vehicle! I take mine to the dealer where I purchased the car (Phil Long Ford of Chapel Hills). So far so good! I purchased a package of synthetic oil changes and tire rotations and it’s a pretty good deal for me as I put lots of miles on my car.
I though the topic is where do you go. I too cannot do it myself anymore.

I will change the oil at home, "until they pry the wrench from my cold dead hands". ;) And I will buy whatever it takes to make it easier to do the job as I get older (includes 4-post lift even if the cost makes no sense). It is not about "oil change" anymore, it is jihad. ;)

from Wikipedia: " Arabic word which literally means "striving" or "struggling", especially with a praiseworthy aim."

I take mine to Jiffy Lube and demand that they use conventional oil 🛢

I've always done my own oil changes for all of my vehicles I had over the years. Of course, my current GT had it's first 2 done at the dealership since I trusted them and it was paid for with the FordPass points for purchasing the car. Since then, I've done them all myself and I always do an oil analysis each time to be sure everything's fine with the engine internally.

You look good for 80. I'll be 71 in a few months and hope to be working on it myself for at least a decade and a half longer.

If you take it ANYWHERE check the oil level when you get home. I am an old school Mechanic from years ago and have a heard a few stories where they don't put enough in and it blows up 3 days later.
