I put 18k miles in a year on the Pirellis and replaced them at 14k mile bald. Again, 0 track time, 0 burnouts. Most of my miles were highway. Hell, Pirelli rates these for 12k miles (talking to Pirellis OEM warranty service).

40k miles on these is a pipe dream. Hell, 20k miles is a pipe dream.
Hmmm, wonder why you only got 14k out of yours and mine look new at 16k? I must be living the dream since when new they have 10/32nds and at almost 16k I have 7/32nds left. The data shows 20k should be a cake walk.

No clue....most don't last much past 14k miles. They are a 12k mile tire (straight from the horses mouth).

Just replaced my Pirelli PZeros today....12, 291 miles. They were to the wear bars.

Went with the new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. They get great test results and great reviews on tirerack.com!
Hopefully they will be a good tire?

After hurricane Harvey I thought I needed rears as a nail protruded from the sidewall of one of the rears, my mileage is now 17,000 on the Perelli's and still tread left. I commute 80 miles round trip 3-4 week thru twisty's and power-slide with some burnouts. I rotated regularly till the S-04's went on Wednesday, 255/45/18's. I read the 2012 Car & Driver article after I made my emergency purchase. So far, I cleaned off the oils with a small burnout and drove home with care till they are broke-in.

Love mine so far! :headbang: Far better wet traction.

This thread is mostly in reference to the PZeros on the performance pack. The standard Pirellis will last longer just based on the ability to rotate them. The tread is a much longer life as well.

My rears are worn badly with 5600 mi. the right rear is the worst. The fronts actually look pretty good. Think i will replace the rears soon. Kind of surprised me....the ford dealer said they were worn. Thought they were trolling for $$$. Yup....almost gone:shrug:

I have 15k miles (give or take) on my Firestone Indy 500's. Still think they're the best performance value out there.
