This past weekend I was getting ready to take my car out, a 2021 GT in Antimatter Blue, after about a week or more of her sitting (I travel a lot for work). Car was looking bad after some rains and the lawn guy coming by while I was gone so I was planning on heading to the car wash to get her cleaned up when I saw this spot on the edge of my hood. Definitely bubbling up a bit around the edge and on top, and a bit underneath when I popped the hood.

Is this common? Anyone else have this issue? The paint isn't broken (kind of looks like it in the first pic but that's just the reflection) and car is still under the 3/36k warranty that expires in Dec this year.

Anyone else have any experience with getting this covered by Ford under warranty? Thoughts? Any input or help is appreciated.

This is the infamous hood corrosion. It is not common but also not uncommon, if that makes sense.

Yes, warranty should cover it and if you do a search for hood corrosion on here you'll get hits.

I had it on my '17. There's a 5 year paint and corrosion warranty so it should be covered no problem.

They just replaced the hood on mine
