I have a convertible so without a cage I can't enroll in an HPDE. btw, I have driven BMW Z4's, M3 and an M6 on various Midwest tracks. I went to the newer Ozark Raceway track the Mustang Club of America sponsored couple of weekends ago. I witnessed many Shelby's, 350, 350's 350r's 500 and other modified Mustangs that enrolled in the HPDE. The Mustang Club of America had this HPDE well organized and professionally run. They also had 8 parade laps which I participated in. These were not sissy laps. The 3.9 mile long track had all the challenges of it's layout. Extreme hairpin turns and elevation changes to name only a few. It was more than fun. Next time I'll ask if any of the drivers would let me sit in the right hand seat for one run.
