I wonder if there was something in the red "circle" below that Ford didn't want to pay to move/redesign despite new fenders? It's that corner of the fender that dictates a hood line that starts at the edge of the hood and points straight forward. Ford gave themselves almost complete freedom for the hood design with the GT350 by having that part of the fender line curve so it can pick up on the hood and run parallel with the windshield instead of continuing straight ahead. But they would have had to make more changes under the skin because the GT and Eco have parts there.
You won't see many shots like that one posted for a 2018+. That s-curve on the hood is terrible. Like one designer started at the grill and worked back while another started at the windshield and worked forward... until uh oh.... never the twain shall meet. Fortunately the rest of the 2018 changes were okay.Some from today
