When we first saw the 50 Years Limited Edition at the Mid America Shelby Show, I fell in love with it. I wasn't thrilled with the rounded back end but I liked just about every other aspect of the car. The best part is the kona blue. I love the kona blue color. The only blue color I like better is the blue/black Jeep color from a few years ago.
Out with the old...
A lot of people have asked if I am crazy; trading a 2013 GT500 for a Mustang GT? We had 3 good years with the GT500. It served our purposes very well. It had very special gut-wrenching speed almost beyond compare. But that wasn't the reason we bought it. That speed, torque & acceleration were thrilling, even addictive.
The 2015 is a HUGE improvement in almost every other category when compared to the 2013. And all it will take is a FRPP 2.3 liter supercharger to get 690 bhp. And look at it. Just look at it! WOW!
And then there's this, the reason I got into Mustangs as a kid. The reason I love Mustangs. My dad's Mustang. Of all of the cars he ever owned, that was the only car he regretted selling.
This new car, reminds me a lot of a modern day interpretation of his car. A car from simpler times when we'd sit in the back seat sliding the vents open & closed & just having fun.
And the FINAL reason I love this car, KONA BLUE! I LOVE kona blue! It looks similar to the color of my dad's old car but it has so much more. All of the black metal flake in it make it awesome! Just look at it!
When I see the two cars side by side, the choice is easy. I was sad to part with the GT500. But I am so much happier with the new car!
