Oil Leak - Any Guesses?

Crap - went under the car because I had a quarter size drop of oil on the floor and found this:

Obviously I'm going to take it in a get it checked and fixed (hopefully it will be warrantied - 4y and 27000 miles). But it's Sunday night - everyplace is closed - and I need some Forum psychotherapy for my OCD. The oil is around the pan bolts above the drain plug and creating pretty bad staining, so I don't think that's the culprit.

That said - what is the approx labor time for oil pan R&I? Is there a better oil pan I should consider?

It's most likely the oil pan, this isn't super common, but it's not unheard of either. It's a lot of labor to drop the pan since the whole front subframe has to be dropped some to clear. I think it's 6 or 8 hours book time, I can't remember exactly.

I don't think anyone has made any aftermarket pans yet. The new S650 will be going back to a steel pan, so you could probably retrofit that if you wanted in the future.

If it's a warranty repair it's unlikely that Ford will agree to replace it with anything other than a stock one even if a better one is available.
