Oil leak @ 18,500!

Unfortunately after dropping the car off at the detail shop I returned home and spotted a oil leak on the floor where the stang is normally parked. I called the detail guy and he snapped these pictures for me. I made an appointment for next week at the dealership. Hopefully it's just a valve cover gasket. I'm really loosing interest in this car quick. This is the 3rd trip to dealer for warranty work!

did the dealer work on anywhere near it? Sometimes the high quality Ford Certified Technician with all of his schooling and experience dosnt know how to tighten bolts properly

No, the other 2 issues where paint and rear wheel bearing.

yup, this happened to me. The leak was dripping on the headers and smoking up

the smoke I had was coming from the engine bay

Looks like the gasket was not installed correctly in that corner.

Apparently both sides are leaking but they didn't have the gaskets in stock so they had to rush them in. They did the door latch recall today since they were at a stand still.

All done. Ended up just being the driver side. It just ran from one side to the other and every where in between. Service writer was pretty funny though, joking he said that only happens when you drop the clutch at 6500 rpm. I said that's funny I only drop it from 5500 rpm with a full slick! Hopefully this is the end of the leak!

Valve cover leaks seem to pop up from time to time on these engines. Not that big of a deal.
