That was clearly the best fix I could think of for the delays in the Takata airbag recall.

I'm wondering, did the trade value of your '14 suffer because its under that recall? Some people have said that dealers can't sell cars with an outstanding safety recall so they'd be stuck with them hence less for trade in.

New to this forum but have had 3 other mustangs, a 1998 GT, 2007 V6 and a 2005 GT. Took delivery of 2016 GT 6 speed manual, Magnetic with Ebony interior and 19 inch wheels yesterday. Traded a 2015 Challenger RT Plus with 8 speed auto. This car makes me laugh when I jump on it.

The dealer I traded it to isn't selling them on the lot, only at auction. A few other dealers in the area aren't even taking them in at all, and if they are, they're offering next to nothing.

The dealership I went to is really decent to people though, and the sales manager flat out told me that it was going to go to auction, but they were going to give me fair value that they'd give me if it wasn't.

So, TL;DR: Depends on the dealership. Some are still selling them, some won't even take them, and others are somewhere in between...
