if it's heavier, it's barely heavier. indeed the stock one has more weight than people probably realize.

I ordered an orange one from cjpp, I'll put up pics and measurements of how high the adapter puts the new ball up compared to stock.

Speed Dawg is not shipping this loctite with the knob which would cost me $104,- (Freight to Belgium incl). Was at least expecting a little tube at this price...

So what is this "adapter" I've read about? I want a white Ford Racing one or a white 50th. How do you know if you need the adapter? I just want to replace the stock one and don't want any extra shit with it.. and is the white FR one or the white 50th one stock weight, heavier/lighter?

So what is this "adapter" I've read about? I want a white Ford Racing one.. the one CJ has I guess for $84.99 looks like. How do you know if you need the adapter? I just want to replace the stock one and don't want any extra shit with it.. and is the white FR one weighted close to the stock weight?
Looking for the same one...
- Ford racing sells it under part number CM-7213-M8 but it will not fit std you'll need their short throw shifter pack.
- CJPP has one with and ugly adapter
- Speed DAWG has the one without adapter we are looking for (64.99,-) but without the loctite  it weighs 5oz.

I have Loctite lol I don't want that ugly adapter, I can see the difference now. Going to look at Speed DAWG I guess.

Speedawg sells jam nuts that will fit our shifters. Its in a pack of three and its about $6.00 or just pick one up at your local hardware store for a fraction of that cost. I think the jam nut will give you better piece of mind than Loctite. FWIW.

It should say in the description if an adapter is needed. See this link from CJ Pony. No adapter needed. Also, a video here on installation.
