Hi all, quick question. I’m getting a code for the downstream O2 sensor. Assuming it’s bad, will it cause harm to keep driving? Until I get a chance to change it. Car seems to run just as we well as it did before. No difference

thanks

nope, downstream doesnt affect upstream at all. its just a dummy light saying dirty.

if upstream code was thrown, id worry. but yeah, people drive around with o2 codes all day long, with no issue

Thanks. That’s kinda what I thought. Like I said. The car runs just fine. I wish there was a way to eliminate it in tuning

just get a vibrant o2 spacer, I used it and defeated cel entire time. I had the one with 3 inserts, I chose middle one. never a CEL

I can confirm. No cats here and pass all OBD readiness checks.

So I have a catted 3” down pipe. I initially kept getting the CEL and installed an “L” adapter which Took care of the CEL. Now, 3 years later. I getting the CEL. So I assume it’s actually bad.
I didn’t use any of the spacers. Perhaps I should?

So, I’m guessing my O2 sensor is actually bad then. It’s only $50. I suppose I’ll change it a d see what happens

Just ordered it from Rock auto. Shipped was like $10 less. Total shipped with tax was $29
I am not dissing Levittown, they are who I use, but holy shit, I went through my emails from a year ago, all my parts that was like 20-30 bucks, are now like 40-50-60 bucks, same exact parts. damn sucks for people now getting their cars and modding, I dont see parts going on sale much anymore.
