I saw that one last night. They take forever to put these vids out. The LS one came out like a month ago. Hopefully part 4 will be out before April...

Anyone want to guess what peak HP will be on the ole Ki-Oat? I'm thinking 1200.

The 1st build off was a scam I expect this one to be the same this time around.........

I do have some faith in MPR winning this time though.

I bet it makes over 1200 F1blower is no joke. Belt slip is only real concern in how much boost itll make.

I expect it to be the same also. They went all out on the LS with aftermarket everything (heads, crank, block) and 7 liters of displacement. The Coyote is going to use a stock crank and stock heads with simply stronger sleeves but stock displacement.

Oh and also the price is a complete joke. The LSX longblock starts at $24,9xx on LME's website, but somehow they got it for under $15k.

Right and fuel injectors and other items dont count towards the bud budget.

This whole series will be a scam same as last time.

They should be using LTx too as thsts whats in the current gen Camaro not the LSX stuff either!

Kind of goofy that they say "no cogged supercharger belts for race cars, we want street setups you can use on the street" and then they setup the supercharger so overdriven (and way beyond recommended speed) that it slips the belt over 6500 RPM.

Whodda thunk it that a 427 would thrash a 302 in terms of overall power.

And sad to see that none of these $15k engines (that in reality would cost most of us $20k+ with the machining and other labor) can make it more than 3 pulls on the dyno before puking their guts out.

Shouldn't it be LS"x" vs coyote? LS1 to LS9 are all Aluminum blocks...

Well they proved a 427 with a bigger blower will make more power than a smaller engine with a smaller blower. Why they didn't go with a similar 5.3 or 4.8 LS against the Coyote with the same sized blower is beyond logic.

Well for one, they had a 15k budget which would be overkill for a 5.3

And secondly, that poor little 5.3 would get shellacked so it wouldn't be much of a story.

Right, so the contest was fair then, 427 vs 302, bigger blower because hey budget and smaller blower for the 302 and do you know a single person who didn't know what the outcome would be well before they fired up an engine?

The 5.3 is too weak to be compared to an engine that is a 5 liters? I've seen 5.3's making the same power as the Coyote, tell me you wouldn't have wanted to see this comparison or heck, why not use the GT500 5.8 and have some real fun since they didn't care to make it a fair comparison anyway.

Oh I would have definitely loved to see that comparison rather than the one done, but this was more of a budget build not what 2 similar specific engines can do against eachother.
