So I ordered a mustang a month ago. I'm kinda getting impatient and I want a car now. Two of the three ford dealers here have what I want on thier lots.

Problem is my dealer won't do X plan on any Mustang on the lot ( they want MSRP plus thier $7,995 ADM on it) the other dealer would sell me a car on X plan BUT this "ResistAll" crap thats $1,995 and the manager won't sell the car without it, and the other Ford dealer here wants $10k over list. That's it. No more dealers, unless I go to another island, and that's a no go.

I've read how most of you guys had a painless process, but mine isn't the same. It's difficult. It's stressful. I've never had a car buying experience so frustrating.

Sorry man. You should let Ford know how you're feeling about it. .02

But Ford themselves can't control what the dealers add on to thier prices do they?

Mine was simple. Went to the lot. Test drove the gt premium. They didn't have the color I wanted so I had them ship the one I wanted from south fl. Got it for 2,000 under msrp. They didn't give me any free oil changes or anything though

That's weird. Maybe because you're in Hawaii?

I am able to get one right now much under MSRP and they were willing to take Xplan. I have over 5 dealers in reasonable driving distance from me.

Don't you have one on order? It's coming in March...

I do but I'm kinda getting impatient. And two dealers have what I want just sitting on thier lots. Plus the delivery date of March isn't accurate, it still has to be shipped to Hawaii, which takes 7-10 days in itself.

Seems like this would be a problem in many industries in Hawaii. To play devils advocate, they have everyone by the throat over there. I'd wait until their cards aren't so strong. If you didn't order already I'd say, save up some money, then buy a 2015 once 2016s hit the lot.

If you have the money to burn then fork over the extra cash and get something now... Most people don't though. I would just bite the bullet and wait. Your customized car is built, just has to make it's way over. Imagine if you ordered back in May or whatever it was and had to wait 6-7 months. It'll get there!

does it not make sense to buy a car on the west coast some where and put it on a boat?

It costs about $1100 to ship a car from LA to Hawaii.

I thought with x-plan they couldn't add additional fees?

I think you could be right. Anyone know more about this?

Nevermind, just read the rules. Dealer is allowed to add on any undercoating or whatever else to the X plan price. Just not allowed to charge dealer markup.
