Will anyone offer a balancer for the 5.2L voodoo?

1. Does this work with the stock water pump pulley? I notice ATI says theirs does not and requires a matching water pump pulley or electric water pump.
2. Is there any chance in getting a stud long enough that a nut & washer could drive it on rather than using a twisting motion on the threads in the crank with a bolt to install? Then just use the bolt to retain it once it's seated. I'd pay extra for that! I believe it's 12mm x 1.5, I haven't had any luck locating threaded rod in that size.

I still seem unsure on using this on a flatplane crank 5.2. I know they are both internal balanced, but the 5.2 vibrates more. Have you installed one on a 5.2 yet? How does this compare to a invoators west balancer? Are these available in over and underdrive? Are they rebuildable?

I'm surprised you're not going to run the electric water pump like they do on the CobraJet engine -- it is off a production vehicle, so it's proven it can stand up to daily use and would be available at any Ford dealership.

Does this require any other pulley changes like water pump?

Could I fit this to my NA 5.0 GT PP manual?
If I do:
1. What benefits if any will it give me?
2. If I add a Whipple down the line will this be ok or do I need put stock pulley back on?
3. Any downsides?
4. Anything else needed for install and how long to install?

1. The stock balancer is not SFI approved, the stock is cast steel. Romac is aluminum ring, steel hub and weighs less.
2. Not sure on the Whipple. I'm naturally aspirated
3. No downsides. It will help with bearing wear and it's less weight and will help a bit with crank revs. It's less rotation mass.
4. I used a piece of all thread to install mine. Took about 30 minutes to remove the stock one and install the Romac.

Works perfect with the stock Whipple 6 rib set up.

Anyone have pics of how the short A/C belt is put on? Also how is the timing set with this motor. I've changed dampers on a push rod SBF and set timing but is it the same procedure.

1. Bolt loosens counter clockwise.
2. pulley tool/hamper remover
3. Heat damper to expand for easy instal
4. Dab of silicone on the keyway to keep oil from leaking through.
5. anti seize and pull on with 12mm 1.5 threaded rod and nut on the end until seated.
6. Torque the damper bolt to ?????????
