MISCHIEVOUS PURPLE S550 MUSTANG Thread

This thread doesn't seem to get as much love as the other colors out there. So, now that I installed my new wheels this afternoon, I figured I'd put up some pics from day 1 to today and cover what I've done to my car so far. Spoiler alert: I'm not as bold as some with my mods, but I'm at least doing enough to make it uniquely mine.

Picked up my car in February. Since, I have installed:
- Ford Performance Carbon Fiber shift knob
- Purple piping in the dash
- Black knob covers (lights, volume, tune)
- Corsa Xtreme cat-back exhaust
- Steeda hood latch release lever
- Roush rear valance aero kit
- Drake rear decklid panel
- Renegade smoked tail lights
- Smoked rear reflectors & side markers
- Purple shift knob hoodie
- RTR gurney flap
- RTR front splitter
- All black 5.0 badges
- Apex EC-7 Anthracite wheels (square 19x10)

(At the dealer; Granger Ford)

(Today, minutes after installing the new wheels!)

Have some more things in mind, but most are more expensive and/or labor intensive. So it may be a while before the next mod, but I like how it's all coming together so far!

I dig the shifter hoodie. I’ve got one coming for mine. Should hopefully be here this coming week.

Nice.

Think about getting a purple cloth dye marker (that doesn't use heat curing) and make your white stitching purple.

You know, I've recently seen that a few members have done that with other colors and it definitely has me tempted.

Thanks! And nice! I think they're a fun way to protect the shifter knob from the sun (that's really all I got it for, I take it off while driving). I'm not sure if I'll have to worry too much about it needing to keep my hand warm in the winter down here. But, I imagine you may get a better benefit on that end of it.

I love it. It seems subtle until you install it. It makes such a difference to the appearance of the front end, I think. All while having no clearance issues with speed bumps and most driveways so far. And the install was pretty easy, just a bit tedious because of all the screws and pins. Power tools definitely help expedite that.

Idk what will be part of their black Friday sale this week, but you should check when it starts. I've been waiting for the sale to finally order the side rocker splitters and quarter splitters myself.

I agree with you about the paint appearance. My only complaint is I can never get the color I want to show up in pictures that I've actually setup. They're always present in my driveway where I don't have a great background for pics, though. I've got it rough, I know .

Agreed on the color, most people have no idea the car is purple if I send them a pic from the garage.
