I am looking at buying a maintenance plan, is there better pricing than floods plan. I was quoted 3335 for 8 years 125000 miles at 5000 mile intervals. Probably do not need that many miles since I only put 5000 miles on it in a year.

You should probably ponder the fact that for a long time your primary need will consist of fluid changes and not much else.

That's what should be included based on their manual.

Every 20,000 mi Replace cabin air filter.Replace engine air filter.
Every 30,000 mi Replace fuel filter. Change engine coolant.
At 100,000 mi Replace spark plugs.
Every 100,000 mi Inspect accessory drive belt(s). Change manual transmission fluid.
Every 150,000 mi Change differential fluid. Replace accessory drive belt(s).

an oil change per 5,000mile/year would cost you $150 max. So if you do it eight times it is $1,200.
And if you drive around 5,000 miles a year you would end up with only 40,000 miles after 8 years.
I don't think you will need $3,335 to pay those 40,000 miles maintenance cost.

Even if you doubled your mileage, you would still only need to purchase around 8/80 why go 8/125??

The only way it worth it is if you race and will burn up pads and rotors, but read the fine print you come back every 6000 miles for pads and 12k for rotors they may deny claim.

Worth every penny to me. I am at 27,000 miles and just had to have my pads, rotors and clutch replaced. I've gotten the oil changed every 4,000 miles and it's always been covered. The clutch, flywheel, pads and rotors alone came out to like $3,000 including labor. I didn't have to pay anything. Definitely worth it to me.

The clutch would have been covered under regular warranty. So really brakes and rotors and oil changes. So still seems expensive, but I would do the brakes rotors myself. If you race some it won't cover tranny oil or diff. Plus if you show up in 6k and want pads I think they will say no.

A good question are the fancy struts consider suspension/ or just shocks.

Once it gets a few years old will probably double the mileage per year, my thoughts were if it covered a couple of clutches in the next 7 years and 1 set of rotors it would be a good investment. I really don't know the lifespan of the clutch in this car, and Tat2bass had his changed at 27000 miles which concerns me.

The clutch is NOT covered under regular warranty. That is a wear and tear item. Even it going out at 27k, regular warranty wouldn't replace it. Keep in mind the clutch on our cars is tiny. It's a dual 5.5" disc

That could be true but I have not seen it listed as wear/tear item. Not mentioned in the maintenance contract, and my reading of car warranty I didn't see it listed, please point me to that! I went back re-read maint contract I was wrong.

So I have the Premium Care plan and every other warranty known to man....bought the R on May 10, 2017. Took it in for 1st scheduled maintenance on Nov 8th. In my case I hit 6mos at 4300 street miles.

The normal stuff was fine. Master tech replaced the clutch reservoir line assembly so that was good...except the few seconds I freaked out because the clutch was stuck against my floorboard when I first picked it up lol.

Wanted to pass along I did inquire about swapping the ugly yellow OEM air filter with the FP Air Raid version under the service plan and it is not covered. So I did that on my own yesterday.
