Any recommendations on a magnetic oil pan drain plug?

Almost at 1k miles and want to do a change prob by 1500.....

I've never had one before but seems like a great invention.

Do they come in different sizes?
If so, what do we need?
Any experiences good or bad and thoughts are highly welcomed.

Is that for the V6 and the Ecoboost also?
I know first hand that the V8 is M12x1.75. My 2011 Cyclone V6 had the same threads.

I also know that Levittown Ford lists the same drain plug part number for the current V8 and Cyclone V6.

I can't swear for the I4 because I have never held one in my hand. BUT FWIW, Fumoto lists their F107 series valves for the Ecoboost. The F107s have the same threads as the current V8 and V6. Unfortunately, I can't find a drainplug part number for the ecoboost anywhere as a verification.

Yeah. If you're talking about the V8, I've already replaced the drain plug with a drain valve as I do for all my cars. Its M12x1.75

I have been trying to figure this out for a while. I have found conflicting info. Some sites say M12X 1.75 and others say M14.

FWIW I've never seen anything that said M14 except people speculating or guessing. Can you point me to something that definitively claims it to be M14 so I can check it out.

I've found several brands of M14x1.5 drain plugs that have lists of engines they are compatible with and not one of them lists any Ford. Maybe an oversight but....

The 2.0 Ecoboosts are M12x1.75. And some others Ecos have a plastic plug that screws in/out with just a ratchet extension with no socket, like many diff/trans plugs but I haven't seen the threads for those anywhere.

It was awhile ago. It was probably an auto parts store Web site like pep boys or auto zone.

Changed all transmission fluid with amsoil 5-30 syncromesh. 8 mm allen tool. Changed diff with 75-90 amsoil takes a 3/8 ratchet. Added 3 oz of amsoil friction modifier. I can confirm the magnetic bolt for drain plug is 12x1.75 changed to amsoil 5/20 synthetic with amsoil filter. Will test drive it tomorrow.
