..was actually thinking about getting stickers made that read (+20HP) (+50HP) "larger sticker", etc. and littering a junker with them as a daily driver..

Reminds me of a 1973 Mach 1 I had. Nasa hood scopes, 73' style stripe on side. They could have done a much better job though. It reminds me of a cross between a 73' Mach 1 and an import.
