Low oil?

My EB PP has 5000 miles now. I decided to check the oil, and it was in the middle of the hash marks. Is this normal for 5000 miles? I know it is not dangerous, but I would have expected it to be a bit higher.

It's not normal but could be a couple of reasons why it's low, make sure you are on level ground,could be possible that it was just low from factory, we all know that the pvc is not the best but I dnt think it would burn that much within 5000 without you noticing smoke.

That's within the normal range. Mine usually stays between 1/2 and 3/4 of the way in the hash marks. I wouldn't have concerns until it reached the bottom of the hash marks, then I would begin to wonder what was going on.

Thanks guys. I let the car sit another 10 minutes and it is now reading 3/4 up the hash marks. I guess I didn't let it sit long enough before. Weird, because I was fixing a rock chip for at least 15 minutes after turning engine off. Thanks again.
