I have a 2020 GT and I am looking to add a dash cam. Ideally I would prefer something that's pretty to easy to install. Any recommendations on dash cams that you use and like? Thanks,

I use the Escort M1. It ties in with my Escort Max360 radar detector. I like it. It is worry/hassle free

I got a Thinkwarw F70
Small, discreet
Installed it behind the rear view mirror. Not noticeable when sitting in car or outside either

I have the thinkware f800 pro but i can also recommend the black vue cams. It really depends on how much you want to spend and what features you want. The new black vue cam has a lte support so you can pay t mobile like 5 bucks a month and connect to it from anywhere.

I've never owned one, but I'm considering one, with so much crap going on. But don't want it to have power when ignition is off. Do they have rechargeable batteries? What features are desirable? I think as long as it records when driving, it'd be enough. But when you have to leave car like in service, or a valet (which will be absolutely rare in my case), it'd be nice if it could record even with ignition off (battery powered), but you'd need to program it, no? Not looking for something overly complicated to operate. Hopefully the power from the mirror is enough for it and a radar detector, as I have no intention to make a separate installation from the fuse box, so I might be limited to something like the Escort, which only needs one power source, I assume.

Actually, I wired it using the cigarette lighter in the front of the center console. Power remains on for about an hour after shutting down ignition, so will be enough for most scenarios for me.

Blackvue 750-2CH here. Great device and video quality especially when paired with the battery backup.

I tried a few dash cams without being happy with them. After doing more research, getting suggestions, looking for one that would hold up in Florida heat I went with Vantrue N4. Its a 3 way so it does the front, inside and rear. If you dont need that they have just front ones, but the quality I'm very impressed with as with the video.

I want just a front one, but something that can record a license plate. What resolution do you need for that? Don't want any more than that. And also want the longest battery life possible, so I don't have to connect it unless on a long trip. Don't want to hard-wire it; already have the V1 hard-wired to the mirror). I rarely park anywhere except my garage, but it'd be nice to have the 'shock activation' in case somebody hits you. Don't need anything fancier than that, like a motion sensor, since the camera would activate a lot more, needing a separate battery. Any suggestions? :D Thx.

I am actually considering get rid of mine. Do not live in a big city and hardly ever use it since I work on a federal installation in which you can not have it anyway. Use the money for a radar detector perhaps. ;)
