So the first time ever in my 30 years of driving I stripped two lug nuts from my passenger side wheel today making sure they were tight(looks like just the lugs, studs seem fine). I'm currently running a 20x10.5 upfront with an 8mm spacer and frankly it just doesn't seem like not a lot of stud is making it through the wheels. Looking inside the lugs it only looks like maybe a half inch of stud is being used... Thoughts?

I saw that, just wondering if I need them. Never had an issue with stripping lugs before

do you ever plan on buying new wheels? me personally id buy new wheels before i extended the studs to run spacers.i believe they have the bolt on spacers which might work better.

We have the same wheel brands. I'm using the split 5. Are those the half inch or the 3inch studs?

And were you running big-ish spacers before?
The consensus seems to be that anything bigger than 5mm requires longer studs to get enough thread engagement.

No this is the first car I've run spacers on. I've already ordered the 2.93 ARP studs. Seems like this will give me back the room from the spacer and give me about .2 inches of extra length for margin.

Appreciate the responses.
