I installed a PMAS intake tune required and re flashed with a updated tune from Lund. Now at start up the shakes really bad almost to the point it wants to shut off. I already got ahold of Lund tuning (Alex) who has been helping me and sent me another revised tune and still does it. Any Ideas of what I could of done at install that could caused this idle issue?

I tried the search bar already and didn’t find anything that matches my issue for all you tolls out there:lol:

Did the CEL trip? I do not have a PMAS but is it possible you turned the maf the incorrect way?

Did you reflash back to stock then reflash for PMAS? I had a Lund 93 tune and reflashed a flex tune. It ran terrible. Beefcake recommended going back to the stock tune then reflash to the flex tune. Worked perfectly.

Okay thanks folks I will try the reflash to stock them back to the new tune. If that doesn’t work I will check everything again but I swear I didn’t miss anything lol.

No check engine light either

I didn't get a check engine light either. But after the flash was perfect. Good luck. Please let us know outcome.

No go on the back to stock then tune....

I checked everything and nothing was wrong or broken or missing.
I’ve worked on cars all my life and never had a issue when installing a intake but I’m human and make mistakes so I triple checked and nothing.

I went back to stock intake with my original flex fuel tune and boom no more issue. I want to say it’s the tune but I’m not tune expert

Yep. Sounds like it's not PMAS tuned. Did you check orientation of the MAF? My nephew has an older Mustang and this got me once when I flashed his car. The damn thing went in backwards. I thought it couldn't. My JLT won't let MAF go in backwards.

Yes I saw how I removed it from the stock intake and installed it the same way but even then it’s like you said it only goes on one way so you can’t screw it in if it’s upside down

The MAF mounting holes only work one way. I would check the sensor itself though. May be dirty.

Sounds like the tune isn't set up for the PMAS.

Reach out to Lund. They'll set you right if it's a tune issue.

Well it’s all good now. Not sure what was going with the tune but Alex at Lund helped and was quick to replay. He rebuilt the file and re-exported. Then I loaded the tune and bam works good
